On February 7, 2024, the Center for African American Studies hosted its 12th Annual Conference, “Celebrating 50 Years of Hip Hop.” Big Daddy Kane keynoted the event, touching on how hip hop has changed throughout his lifetime, learning music from his elders and connecting with younger generations.
